After a busy time backpacking around Thailand with my three children I felt like I'd come home at your home. Awesome people, food and bungalows. Paradise. Hi Teep and Fiona. Just wanted to say thankyou for such a wonderfull wonderfull time. such a fantastic place you have. The food is EXCELLENT. The staff are great, helpfull and friendly. And the location has to be one of the best on the planet.

I would just like to say a big thank you to Teep and Fiona for the again wonderful stay at Mai Pen Rai Bungalows. As usual everything was fantastic, the bungalows are even more beautiul than before, and the boat trip to Angthong was amazing. I was disappointed to see the neighbours activities at Thong Reng, and the big projector screen on the hill which disturbs the lovely nights at Than Sadet looking at the stars. I hope the beautiful Thong Reng is not going to be spoilt by the new 'Treehouse Lodge' Resort. Take care, and see you next year!

Just returned home three hours ago! Have to say, sincerely and objectively, that Mai Pen Rai is one of, if not the BEST places to stay in Thailand. Great food (absolutely LOVE the new Menu), friendly helpfull smiling staff, and that bouffet! WOW. Great food, great value and a great atmosphere in which to share it! DJ Porn and his amazing collction of Oh so COOL LP's, what better way to spend an evening? Thankyou, from the bottom of my heart to all at Mai Pen Rai! Your warmth and hospitality and honest caring staff made me feel like part of one big family 🙂

Only just got to Thong Sala, and missing you! Well done with everything – can really see the work and time and love that has gone into everything. I will be returning soon promise you that. Sorry for the problems the other customers caused that day about the boat trip, never seen anything like that, some people just don't see paradise for what it is, and in my opinion those kind of people should not be in Than Sadet but in Had Rin, the same goes for the party scene on your neighbouring beach. See you 😉

Than Sadet for me is paradise every time, was a bit sad about the Thong Reng Beach and Treehouse, 6 months only and completely transformed to psychadelic coloured bungalows :angry: Mai Pen Rai as you say!

do you remember us? we are kayleigh and soleil from the netherlands, we were on mai pen rai this year. We've made many things with porn for his shop, my mother (nathalie) has got pain in her neck and song gave her massages and my father (arwil) played much on the pool table . Thanks for a wonderful 4 days, we will definitely be coming back! Customer service was fantastic, the original, relaxed atmosphere of koh phangan is certainly maintained and the location simply beautiful.
In comparison to the many places we have stayed on Samui and Phangan, Mai Pen Rai was easily our favourite.
Good luck with everything, hopefully see you again in the future.

Never been to Mai Pen Rai before, but it was a trip of a lifetime, and wished we hadn't booked elsewhere otherwise would have stayed longer. It was low season, and the best time to be there, quiet, (everywhere else closed on the beach), really cheap bungalow prices, and great staff. We felt so at home, that we spent literally the whole time either on the beach or in the restaurant. Well done people there for creating such a special vibe for us to enjoy. We booked for a different price, but they let us know immediately that the prices were even lower than that, and gave back the difference!!
God knows when we will be back, but we will!

Literally Just got back from a wonderful stay at Mai Pen Rai, We were really lucky to stumble across such a hidden gem. The bungalows are really nice, and the adventure to reach them was fun, especially after lights out.
Would like to say a big thanks to all the staff, you were all very friendly and helpful, and made us all feel at home.
Would definitely make a visit sometime in the future!
