I haven’t been to your resort yet, but with somebody like Fiona up there I believe it must be an incredible place. Hope to be over in 2005, that would make it about 13 years since we last saw each other.

Kindest regards to you and your family.

Hi Teeps and Fiona, we stayed in bungalow 3 from 29th September – 2nd October. We had the most amazing time at Than Sadet, and sitting in rainiy Wandsworth in London right now, all I want to do is come back to the beach………… there are very few places that I want to return to when I travel as I always feel you should explore as much as you can but your place is definitely somewhere I will return to again (and again )……. I miss my coconut and coffee shakes and great pad thai !! Thank you for looking after us.

Thank "Barbeque" (the dog for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting the old boy ) for sleeping outside and guarding our bungalow at night too !!

Greetings to one and all from crazy Scot Derek who had a great 3 weeks at Mai Pen Rai, especially with the Irish contingent. We didn’t manage to drink the place dry, but did manage to make you run out of Vodka and Red Bull! Thanks for a really special time, keep up the good work. I’m now back in the UK working (stupid or what!). Song recorded in Bungalow 2 on my website at http://www.phiddlestix.com/

Looking back at the picture gallery makes me miss this place so much. We were originally going to stay for only 7 days and ended up staying 20.
The location, view, people and and and endless supply of what ever you want is what made this the perfect place to really experience Thai Land.

    We are SOOO going back!

πŸ™‚ Hello Teep! After I found your beautiful site, i thought I was in Paradise. Everything was great, the food , the nature, the bungalows and the people. First I lived in that gorgeous seaview bungalows and then in No. 5 at the river I loved that place very much, sitting in a hammock
This place is so relaxed and very well run. Sorry that I didn t say good bye, but the boat came too sudden…
Thanks a lot, I will never forget!

Hi Fiona, Teed, kids and of course Mije,
after 8 diiferent stays during our trip through Thailand this year, Mai Pen Rai was best again. Thanks a lot. Whenever we are back in Thailand, we definitely come back, since your place has become sort of our Thailand home.
Enjoy the kids and the sun, itΒ΄s bloody cold over here.

Wow, Fi! We were just talking about Lieven when I was there at Christmas! Had so much fun with the Belgian boys — can't believe that was so long ago!
I'm a horrible friend and haven't written on here yet — but to everyone reading the guestbook, I've been part of the Than Sadet family for many, many years. My friends in Canada know that it's my second home and they will find me on the beach faster than they'll find me doing Christmas in Ontario.
Mai Pen Rai has gotten bigger and better, and that's absolutely true. It's a phenomenal place. It is always what you want it to be. And more often — it is what you need it to be.
Chill, hang out, lay in your hammock, party, play pool… This is a place in the world where I became myself — and I'm still there.
    Love to all.
    Thanks for a great Christmas!
    Love Clance.

After going back to Than Sadet, after 6 years, I was a bit apprehensive but was pleasantly surprised to find that paradise hasnt changed one bit, still beautifull, quiet, un-developed, just a tranquil paradise. Thanks so much. I will be back hopefully in June or December, THIS YEAR….. πŸ˜€

Hey Fiona and Teep, my name is Ian and I stayed in your resort with 3 Irish guys,`Mike Connor and Martin in 2006. I don't know if you remember us but we stayed there for about 3 weeks and used to drink on the beach till the late hours. I long to return to Mai Pen Rai and see you guys again. I stayed at Mai Pen Rai in April 2008 and had a great time. Bungalow right on the beach, genuinely friendly people running it, great food in the restaurant and a relaxed atmosphere that feels a million miles away from Haad Rin … Mai Pen Rai seems to attract interesting people passing through, too. There was always someone to have a quiet beer and a natter with (Kay and Buck, Ian, Marla, Nok – if you’re reading this, Hi!). Mai Pen Rai’s a little gem – I can’t recommend it highly enough.
